Can't sleep, really.  So I'm staring out my window, watching the city.

I'll admit; I miss the maples, and the big yard I grew up with.  I miss the squirrels and the fireflies.  The birdsong in spring and the smell of fireplaces in autumn.  Being able to see the stars.  But.  The city is beautiful too.

Top Ten Toys from my Childhood

My favorite characters (in books or films) are only rarely the MAIN characters.  I don't mean that I'm drawn to the background guys, but that my favorites are often the sidekicks, the partners.  Characters with big parts to play, but not necessarily the heroes.  I think this may be because the secondary characters can be a humanizing influence on ( Read more... )
